let’s make a colorful clothespin beach wreath

Summer is here! Are you ready to add a touch of beach decor to your home? With just a few supplies and some imagination, you'll have a stunning and unique Beach Theme Clothespin Wreath.

When it comes to choosing colors and textures for your clothespin beach wreath, there are a few things to consider. First and foremost, think about the vibe you're going for - do you want something bright and playful, or more subdued? A neutral color palette with pops of blue and green can give your wreath a classic, beachy feel. On the other hand, incorporating bold colors like coral and hot pink can make for a fun and vibrant wreath that really captures the energy of summertime.

Let’s Create A Beach Theme Clothespin Wreath

  • Quart size Baggies

  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

  • Decorative elements like seashells, starfish, and sand dollars

Step-by-Step Instructions to Create A Clothespin Wreath

  • Begin by painting the clothes pins in your choice of colors. Add acrylic paint into a quart size baggie with a little bit of water and mix the paint. Add your clothespins and take out your frustrations!!! Shake, shake, shake. Turn your clothespin out on a craft mat so that they won’t stick to paper. I used a baby-wipe to make sure that every part of the clothespin was covered. I also used the baby-wipe to remove some of the paint for a distress look. You can use spray paint for a quicker process.

  • Once the clothes pins are dry, start clipping them onto the wreath form.

  • Open the clothespin and clip to the first two rings of the wreath.

  • Open the next clothespin and clip to the second and third rings of the wreath. (There will be no clothespins on the outside ring.)

  • Place them close together and mix up the colors and patterns for a more interesting look. Or you can do an umbra effect or making a beach seascape. The design is entirely up to you!

  • Keep clipping the clothespin until you are finished.

Let’s Embellish The Wreath

  • Add seashells to the side of the clothespin wreath with hot glue or E6000 (if using on your front door)

  • Make a bow with a burlap style ribbon and solid color ribbon (Dollar Tree). Attach the two bow together - one on top of the other.

  • Before adding the bow to the wreath, add a swirl of white rope from Dollar Tree for a touch of nautical flair . (I hot glued the ends on the back of the wreath so that they didn’t show).

How to Display Your New Wreath

With your colorful clothespin beach wreath complete, now it's time to figure out how to display it. There is no right or wrong way to display a wreath, but here are a few ideas to get you started.

One option is to hang it on your front door. This is a classic display choice and ensures that your guests will see it right away. You can use a wreath hanger specifically designed for this purpose or loop a ribbon or piece of twine around the wreath and tie it to a hook or nail on your door.

If you don't want to hang your wreath on your door, you can find other places to display it around your home. For example, you could place it on a mantel, over a fireplace, or on an accent wall. You can also use a wreath stand or hook to display it on a table or shelf.

Whatever display option you choose, make sure that it works with the style and color scheme of your home. And most importantly, make sure it brings you joy and reminds you of summer days spent relaxing at the beach. With your wreath on display, you're ready to enjoy the sunshine and the warmth of the season.
