I am so excited to announce my Artist Summer Camp 2024 program. As a kid, I never went to summer camp and I also felt like I missed out on something really fun and exciting. So I’m bringing the Artist Summer Camp this summer for artists who enjoy ATCs, Scrapbooking, Mixed Media, art journaling and bible journaling.

Camp #1: Art Trading Cards

Dive into the world of mini masterpieces with my Art Trading Cards week! From June 24 to 28, learn the art of creating 2 ½” x 3 ½” tiny creative creations using playing cards as well as one sheet of watercolor paper.

Participants will receive a comprehensive supply kit, which includes:

Playing cards
Vintage, hymn and tissue paper
Two stencils
Various other artistic materials like ephemera diecuts, ribbon and 2 crochet flowers. There is still time to join the Private Facebook group for all three camps

Activities:

Daily Art Projects: Each day will feature a new art trading card project, encouraging creativity and artistic expression.

Techniques and Tips: Learn different techniques for creating stunning art trading cards, from collage and mixed media to stamping and drawing.

Trading Session: At the end of the week, we'll have a fun trading session where participants can swap their creations with one another, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for each other's work.

This week is perfect for artists who love to experiment with different materials and enjoy creating small, collectible pieces of art. It's a great way to learn new techniques and make new friends who share a passion for creativity.

Camp #2: Christmas Interactive Scrapbook

Get into the holiday spirit early with our Christmas Interactive Scrapbook week from July 22 to 26! This week is all about celebrating the joy of Christmas through creative scrapbooking. Let’s dive into creating a beautiful and interactive Christmas scrapbook, perfect for capturing holiday memories.

Activities:

Scrapbook Design: Learn how to design and layout scrapbook pages, incorporating photos, mementos, and personal touches.

Interactive Elements: Add interactive elements like pop-ups, flaps, and pockets to make the scrapbook come to life.

Holiday Themes: Use festive materials and decorations to create a truly magical Christmas keepsake.

This week is ideal for those who love the holiday season and want to create a special keepsake. It's a wonderful way to combine creativity with the joy of Christmas, making lasting memories in the process.

A supply kit will be available the first week of July 2024. Each kit will include cardboard, scrapbook paper, diecuts and ribbons/fibers needed to create this incredible scrapbook that you will be able to preserve memories for generations to come!

Camp #3: Hymns and Devotionals

Join me in August for a spiritually enriching experience focusing on six of my favorite old hymns that I grew up with in a little Methodist church in Dallas. This three-week camp will combine art, music, and devotionals for a truly unique creative journey.

We will explore the beauty of hymns through various creative projects.

Devotional Book featuring six beloved hymns.

Journal from Hymnbook: Learn to make a beautiful journal using the cover and pages from an old hymnbook.
Stickers and Embellishments: Enhance your projects with custom stickers and embellishments inspired by the hymns.

Activities:

- Hymn Study: Each week, the focus will be on two hymns, exploring their history, meaning, and impact.

- Creative Sessions: Engage in hands-on projects that combine artistic techniques with spiritual reflection.

- Sharing and Reflection: Share your creations and reflections with fellow campers, fostering a sense of community and spiritual growth.

A supply kit will be available around the middle of July.

This camp is perfect for those who appreciate the beauty of older hymns and want to deepen their spiritual practice through creativity and a time of devotional. It's a unique opportunity to create meaningful art while reflecting on timeless hymns.
