Discover My Top 3 Bookbinding Supplies!

I love creating my own memory keeping journals, art journals, planners and junk journals. Mostly, because I can make all the decision about what paper I want to use, how the journal will be used and decide on the right size for my project.

I also love using old books that I’ve purchased from the discount stores as my cover. I've tried countless supplies, but these three are my absolute favorites! Check them out and make your bookbinding projects even more amazing.

1. Bookbinding Kit

I love this bookbinding kit because it’s very inexpensive and great quality. This bookbinding kit is an absolute game-changer. It includes everything you need to get started on your bookbinding journey. The kit includes 2 bone folders, needles with large eyes which makes it easier to thread, an awl (very sharp), three colors of wax thread, ruler and binder clips to help hold your pages in place.

I love how sturdy and beautiful my book covers turn out when I use this kit.

It's a must-have for both beginners and experienced binders. Whether you're creating a journal, a sketchbook, or a unique gift, this bookbinding kit will help you achieve professional results every time.

2. Bookbinding Wax Thread

When it comes to binding pages together, having the right thread is crucial. This bookbinding wax thread is my favorite because it comes in a variety of colors, allowing me to perfectly match or contrast with my cover designs. The wax coating ensures the thread is durable and easy to work with, providing a strong and neat finish. It's perfect for adding that extra touch of creativity and personalization to your books.

Don’t you just love all the pretty colors? Sometimes it’s hard to choose which one!!!

3. Sookwang Double-sided Tape

Sookwang double-sided tape is a hidden gem in the world of bookbinding. It's incredibly strong and perfect for reinforcing the center spine of your books, ensuring they hold up well over time. I love using it for both softcover and hardcover projects.

The tape is easy to apply, comes in a variety of widths and creates a seamless bond that keeps everything securely in place. If you want your books to last, this tape is a must-have in your toolkit.

I also use this Sookwang double-sided tape in my junk journals, planners and art journals. It makes getting all your ephemera glued down on the page quick and easy and without a mess.
